The training and the adventure begins.

Danille arrived in Atlanta, got to drop off her stuff and (again thank God) change her shoes from flip flops to tennis shoes. Her team of seven, six girls and one boy was given an envelope with instructions and $20.00. They were told to find away to get to an address in Atlanta. So on $20.00 they all had to get the bus to the address.

It was a homeless shelter, where they were given a room that slept about 30 on three high bunk beds. They had mattress' with no sheets or blankets for sleeping on. They were also given a sack dinner of a peanut butter sandwich and an apple.

Then at midnight, they recieved new instructions. They were told they would be homeless on the streets of Atlanta in 19 degree weather with only one blanket for all 7 of them. They huddled together trying to keep warm and praying. Danille didn't even have a jacket, she had on a sweatshirt and sweatpants.

Danille said they found a chatholic church and got inside an alcove there for a while to warm up and found a convenience store. At one point Danille said she really struggled, but felt lead to give up her gloves to a homeless person. She said her fingers never got cold again the rest of the night.

At about 4 am they were told to go back to the shelter and in the morning were offered stale bread and peanut butter for breakfast. They then went back to the place they are staying.

An amazing night to say the least.

The blessings begin even before she reaches Atlanta

Danille gets on the plane in Denver and is asked to give up her seat so a mom and daughter can sit together. Danille graciously gives up her seat and the person she sits next to, just happens to be one of her India Adventure team members. They talk all the way into Atlanta and then take time for a meal (thank God) before meeting up with the rest of their team.

A quick Note about Danille

She left at 3:00am yesterday morning. She flew to Denver where she only had a 30min layover. She was asked by a person on the plane if she could change seats so she could sit next to her young daughter, so she changed, as it turns out God was already working, she ended up next to one of her team members, so they talked all the way to Atlanta.

They made it to Atlanta and met up with everyone. They were then taken to the streets of Atlanta last night to spend the night as a homeless person, the 6 women(including Danille) were given one blanket to share. It was 19 degrees last night in Atlanta, so they held each other tight and in the middle of the night they we picked up and taken to a local women’s shelter where she said it was so warm and nice to be warm, but it was very, very crowded.

She was told not to bring her phone but due to the fact that she is staying in India after her trip is over to visit some people in Mumbai, she took it anyways(We are Ok with breaking this rule :-). So she called and talked to Ginger for only a couple of seconds to give us this much info, while everyone else was sleeping, from the bathroom none the less :-)

We are excited to see what God has planned for her, and we wanted to thank each and every one of you for your coming alongside her and praying for her and the rest of her team.

Thank you also for showing her the Love of Jesus that has brought her to this point.

In Him,
Jason and Ginger Jones
